Gütenbach, June 30th 2011 – The RENA Group, leading global manufacturer of equipment for wet-chemical processes, mainly for solar cell production, has rounded off 2010 as the best year in the company’s history. The group of companies with headquarters in Gütenbach in Schwarzwald, Germany, achieved a total output in 2010 of 258 million Euro (in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)) compared to 119 million Euro the previous year. The EBIT (earnings before interest and tax) rose significantly in 2010 to 23.6 million Euro compared to 4.9 million Euro in 2009.

RENA profited in 2010 from growth in the photovoltaic industry and a strong demand from Asia for equipment for the manufacture of solar cells. “The 2010 business year was a record year for us and the orders in hand at the turn of the year have given us a good starting position for 2011,” says Jürgen Gutekunst, founder and indirect sole shareholder of RENA GmbH. “We are well positioned in markets that continue to show growth potential. Based on this starting point, we are confident that we will be able to expand our leading market position further in 2011.”
